Waitakeres - Lone Kauri Loop/Karekare

A great area for a walk in the Waitakeres beginning and ending at Lone Kauri Road. Descending from Orange Peel Corner there are extensive views west down the ridge with the ocean in the distance. From the Muir Track you get an excellent view of Old Baldy and then descend down into the valley below before climbing back up onto the ridge and back to Sybil Goose. A fine day is promised by the Sun Gods.
