Join us for a trip to Great Barrier Island with lots of birds, native bush and marine wildlife! Details to follow once we know how many people are interested in each option.
The home party

- Stay in accommodation in shared bunk rooms (4 bunks) on Medlands Beach. This party will have two rental vans to get around the island, and to pick up/drop off the out party.
Out party "the campers"
Depart
Pier 21, Westhaven Marina. Meet at 8.30am, Hauraki Express boat departs at 9.00am, arrives Tryphena approx. 11.30 am.
Return
Monday 4.00 pm from Tryphena, arrives in Auckland approx. 6.30 pm.
Costs
Costs includes ferry, accommodation and rental vans. A deposit of $180 is required to confirm your booking, and final payment is due by Tuesday, 20 February 2018.
Gear
We also recommend carrying food and drink as this is rather expensive on the island.

Non-members - as space is limited on this trip, priority for bookings will be given to club members.
If you are not a member, you need to be known to the club before your booking can be accepted, and will need to pay an extra 25% surcharge on the trip fee. If you have completed two qualifying trips, you can apply for membership here to get the member price and priority booking.
