Riverhead Forest, North Shore

Since we’re running out of native forests for our Sunday tramps, we need to look elsewhere. Riverhead Forest provides a network of gravel roads criss crossing a large area. It even has a trig offering views over more forest and the city. These paths are shared by dog walkers, cyclists, horse riders and the odd mushroom picker. There are options to add extra loops for faster walkers.

Depart: 

• 9.00 am The Strand, Takapuna  
• 9:20 am Silverdale Park & Ride bus stop. If you need a pickup from Silverdale, please register via the website, or let the organiser know directly
