North Shore Tramping Club
As it looks like people have been put off booking their Motuihe Island ferry crossing tickets due to the weather over the last few days, have changed the Motuihe tramp over to a local tramp! No bus and free!! Meet us at the corner of Cornerstone Drive & Oteha Valley Rd, Albany. Cafe right beside meeting place for those needing early morning caffeine fix.
We'll hit the tracks and paths and you'll find a very surprising amount of beautiful large native bush and ancient trees that we'll pass below the canopy of that you probably weren't aware was there! We'll be under canopy cover most of the day, unless we pop out at Unsworth and do a few tracks there too. Somewhere between 6-8 hours walking, depending on what you opt for and a few hills and mud in the mix too. Just over 22kms if you cover all that's been mapped out. Maps just done & will be uploaded during the day. Trail shoes or tramping boots will be fine for this.
PLEASE ENSURE ALL YOUR GEAR IS ABSOLUTELY CLEAN BEFORE THE TRAMP & THOROUGHLY CLEANED AFTERWARDS AS THERE KAURI THROUGH THE AREA!!!
Cost: Free to all!!!! NO BUS THIS WEEK!!!!
