Riverhead Forest, North Shore

Since we’re running out of native forests for our Sunday tramps, we need to look elsewhere. Riverhead Forest provides a network of gravel roads criss -crossing a large area. It even has a trig offering views over more forest and the city. These paths are shared by dog walkers, cyclists, horse riders and the odd mushroom picker.There are options to add extra loops for faster walkers.

The opportunity for everyone who has a smart phone to practice their GPS tracking skills.

Alltrails can be used without the need of downloading, it just uses up some battery and data.

If you need a pickup from Silverdale, please RSVP/register via the website, or let the organiser know directly.

Registration is not required if leaving from Takapuna, or meeting the bus in the park.
