North Shore Tramping Club
The Comans Track re-opened 3 weeks ago, after major track resurfacing has been carried out, so we're going to make the most of the opportunity to get into the Waitak's again and the most of the forecasted good weather for this long Queens Birthday weekend and the incredible coastal clifftop views from this track and other tracks in Karekare. One of the tracks boasts the highest sea cliffs in the Auckland area at 270 metres, with views to match. We'll head down to Karekare Beach and the impressive Karekare Waterfall as well, so there will be many photo opportunities worth bringing your camera or camera phone out for! ** PLEASE ensure that all of your gear is clean, poles, boots, bag etc, as always and especially as we're in the Waitak's. As it's a public holiday, parking should be the same as it normally is on a Sunday in Takapuna.
