North Shore Tramping Club
If you missed out in January, join us for this variation on how it was run in January and we will go right through to the end of the Tornado track that we stopped at last time, the really fun bit! Ever thought there's not much bush walking around Albany?! Join us to find out how many bush and forest tracks there are! You will be surprised.
We'll spend most of our day walking beside very pretty streams and under the cover of mighty, towering Kahikatea, Tanekaha and Totara and more. With gentle light filtering through the canopy and mosses making for magical photos along the stream and the intricate network of tracks.
For those that did one of the new tracks with us last year, there are additional tracks open now. The aim of the walk being, let's see if everyone walks over a track they've not done before! Please ensure you have plenty food & water, as we won't be near cafes except for the start.
Bring swimwear, as we'll head to a beach nearby for a swim afterwards. Trail or running shoes will be fine as it should be reasonably dry. PLEASE ENSURE YOUR GEAR IS CLEAN BEFORE TO PROTECT THE KAURI, TANEKAHA AND OTHER SPECIES AND HAVE CLEAN FOOTWEAR FOR AFTER THE TRAMP AND THOROUGHLY CLEAN YOUR GEAR WHEN YOU GET HOME!!!
