North Shore Tramping Club
So we've all been chomping at the bit to get back out there and into the bush and do what we love so much! We'll set off promptly at 8am to make the most of the forecasted weather. And head into the tracks with large native canopy above us around Birkenhead and Chatswood and find out how many forest escarpments there are in these areas, taking in any high view spots. Expect mixed terrain, from bush tracks, to boardwalks, and the odd crossing roads to connect forest escarpment areas, walking about 4-5 hours approximately. Trail shoes, running shoes you don't mind getting dirty would be fine for this tramp or tramping boots. (PLEASE, bring a change of clean footwear to change into afterwards so you are not possibly transferring any Kauri Dieback. Please ensure all of your gear is clean, as we are passing through Kauri'd areas). Please bring your own hand sanitiser just in case we need to stop somewhere along the way.
