Where: Hobsonville - NO BUS THIS WEEK!!
Meet at: meeting place cnr Launch Rd & Boundary Rd [by massive stone wall], Hobsonville Point. (Should be ample parking).
As we haven't done this tramp for 1.5 years, it must be time again and in winter for variety and we'll switch it up and do the tramp differently and to coincide with the outgoing high tide at 8.15am.
After this we'll head up the Greenhithe Bridge making a beeline for numerous hidden gem, bush tracks and parks tucked away around Greenhithe that make a big loop with hills along the way for a decent work out, before returning back down to the Hobsonville.
Part of the tramp will cover the recently opened board walk along the mangroves at Hobsonville that was opened 17 November 2018, that adds to the existing ring, now making 5kms.
More new ground for most people & very pretty coastal scenery along the way and tracks most won't be aware of.
Bring your camera or camera phone.
Trail shoes or running shoes you don't mind getting dirty would be most suitable.
Approximately 19kms in total, with easy footing and easy hills.
Please ensure you're there by 8.45am so we can get everyone registered as usual.
Trail shoes, running shoes you don't mind getting dirty will be suitable for this tramp or tramping boots will be too hard and heavy on any firm surfaces.
(PLEASE, bring a change of clean footwear to change into afterwards so you are not possibly transferring any Kauri Dieback. Please ensure all of your gear is clean, as we are passing through Kauri'd areas).
Please bring your own hand sanitiser just in case we need to stop somewhere along the way.
