The Richmond Range is a long wilderness tramp offering height and solitude. Once above the bushline it’s generally well-marked with cairns or poles although unformed in places. The track is defined as suitable for fit, well-equipped people with a high degree of excellence and with navigating and river-crossing experience and has many steep and exposed sections. The track takes in 4 high summits and sidles across the sides of 3 other peaks; all above the bushline.
