Amazing coastal views and Lake Wainamu and the huge picturesque inland Sand Dune, you are bound to want to take photos! We may also be very lucky and spot some native Blue Mushrooms.
- Starting Bethells Beach the distance group will go past Tirikohua Point, Te Waharoa Bay, Jonkers Rock, Raetahinga Point and O’Neill Bay and return & if time will go around Lake Wainamu also.
- The Medium and shorter distance groups will go around large fresh water Lake Wainamu and then do some of the Te Henga Walkway or the other way around depending on weather on the day.

All groups will tramp 5 hours plus, there will be some steep hills, although nothing over a 200 metre climb, terrain maybe also slippery, muddy and will be uneven.

As always please ensure that all your gear is clean, footwear, bag, walking pole etc. Please also bring a change of footwear for the trip back in the bus and a bag to put your dirty footwear into and please clean all your gear thoroughly when you get home, especially as we are passing through areas where there are Kauri. We do not want to spread Kauri Dieback.

* Bring swim wear as we may swim afterwards in Lake Wainamu, if we have time for those keen. (Bring a small microfibre towel, not a full size heavy bath towel).

* Only come out with us if you are well
* You are welcome to use your face mask and hand sanitiser.
* There will be a COVID-19 QR code available for scanning.
* If you have arrived from overseas in the last month, please stay away.
