Explore scenic Arataki Tracks, Waitakere Ranges
on Sunday 27 February 2022
Join us for comfortable family friendly walking (including some inclines) with a mix of unsealed road, bush tracks, and board walk in a loop for up to five hours.
Forming two parties that accommodate different levels of fitness, we will explore Exhibition, Pipeline, Slip, Arataki Nature, and Beveridge tracks. Historical points of interest, forest, bush, plant identification and scenic vistas enhance the tracks. We will also visit the Arataki Visitors Centre.
Very important, PLEASE ensure all your gear is clean, as Waitakere Ranges is a Kauri area and as always ensure you thoroughly clean your gear afterwards.
Bring plenty of water, camera, lunch, snacks, cash for refreshments, and a mask for visiting Visitors’ centre.
Also bring a change of clothes, footwear, bag for dirty footwear, and towel for the bus trip back.
Depart: 8.30am The Strand, Takapuna.
Cost: $10 members, $15 non-members, $5 juniors

The latest Ministry of Health advice is our Club is now covered under the Private Gathering guidelines. With the use of Vaccine Passports and the other registration procedures we have in place physical distancing is not required.
Under the Red Light-Level 2 & 3 settings there is no limitation on the number of people we can take on the bus.
