Gibbons Track to Pararaha Vally, Waitakere.

Members please register by Friday 21 June 6pm and ensure you have $15 cash.

The Gibbon’s track has only just reopened at the end of November 23.  We will start from the carpark at Whatipu, the Gibbons track itself will start with a steep climb of 250 meters + to Walker ridge then along the cliffs before descending to the Pararaha shelter for lunch. Depending on time and tides we will turn this into a loop track by crossing the wetlands and returning South along the beach to the Bus or even extending to Tunnel beach camp before returning to the Bus.

Bring plenty of water and sunscreen!

Non members please contact organiser to assess your suitability for this tramp which requires a good level of fitness.

Cost:      $15 Members, $20 non-members & $10 juniors
