North Shore Tramping Club
As some of the others are away, we've added a Saturday trip. (PLEASE NOTE, THIS IS SATURDAY 12th OCTOBER as the weather forecast is quite wet for Sunday). So we will meet in the first carpark as you come over the one lane bridge into Long Bay Regional Park, off Beach Road and we'll head up into some substantial bush tracks around Long Bay and Torbay that most are probably unaware of and if keen we can also do some of the beach and cliff tracks afterwards. There are some impressively size Kahikatea's along the way in one area and then some other big native trees in another area and the tracks are really fun! Expect to walk over 4 hours in a variety of terrain, with some short sharp climbs and some of the tracks maybe slippery due to recent rain. Please ensure that all your gear is clean, as we are passing through Kauri'd areas. Bring swimming gear for those keen for a swim afterwards. Gear List: NSTC Gear List- March24.pdf
