Takapuna, Northcote & Birkenhead Urban Forests
Sunday 20 July 9am start from 7 The Strand - usual bus pick up point.

Join us to find out how many awesome forest escarpment tracks there are around Takapuna, Northcote & Birkenhead. We'll have a mixture of forest & open pathways like Tuff Crater track, that's a former volcano.
There maybe some muddy patches, but most areas are gravel or boardwalk.
We will walk about 4 to 5 hours covering a variety of terrain and some areas maybe slippery. Along with brief pavement connecting between tracks.
Trail running shoes would be ideal or light weight boots. Running shoes won't have enough grip.
Please ensure your footwear is clean as we will be passing through areas with amazing Kauri trees. And please bring a change of clean footwear for after.
