Come along and help tree planting, be part of something incredibly important to the environment, native birds and other species of animals that need trees for sustenance and protection.
Be part of something amazing, with an amazing feel good factor!!

We might native sea birds wading on the outgoing 7.27am tide.

An easy event  that should suit all levels of fitness, expect around 2 hours actual tree planting, but we will walk to the planting site and have a walk after.
You can usually choose tree planting, digging, or help planting.  Something for everyone, of all ages.

What to bring:  your usual water, food nibbles, but they usually bring around fruit or biscuits for morning tea and there's usually a bbq lunch afterwards.
Clean gloves, cheap gloves are fine (they do provide gloves). They provide spades and the trees to plant.
Raincoat, in case it showers.

Trail shoes or non-leather boots are ideal.  As we're walking low tide, salt water is not good for leather tramping boots.
PLEASE BRING A CHANGE OF CLEAN SHOES FOR THE DRIVE HOME!!!  There is Kauri Dieback in the general area & we don't want to transfer this to other parks and places.

Cost: Free

NO BUS TODAY – Please make your own way.
Meet at:  Long Bay Regional Park, Long Bay, entrance over the one lane bridge & meet by the large toilet block at the Southern end of the beach at 9.15am, so we can walk to the planting site and get to see more of this stunning, white sand, coastal park.
